The project INSALES of implementation of joint actions of technological and processes innovation in the marketing of food products: innovation at the point of sale (POS) seeks the implementation of innovative solutions which allow to improve the ability to compete and innovate through joint projects of innovation in business processes. This innovation in business processes must provide the ability to get to the point of sale with a greater differential and added value products for more demanding consumers in the increasingly saturated markets.

This idea is based on the pronounced competitive environment in which food and agriculture companies operate and the excessive offer that the consumer has of these products at the point of sale. This situation must provide solutions to improve the quality standards, services and costs of the agri-food companies given the importance that a suitable design of the packaging means to the improvement of the competitiveness from the perspective of the increase in sales, reducing costs and, recently, environmental impact.
